Consider the general case that he had a.b rs.,
after spending half amount he had  [x/2-0.50].[y/2+50]...
now put the given conditions of ques....
1) [a/2-0.50]=y/2
2) [b/2+50]=x
solve these two equations & get the answer=99.98 Rs.
