Calculate your Correct CGPA

in practice , we calculate average GPA of all semester is that by adding all GPAs and dividing by number of semesters.......

reason:

but ,the above method is wrong(i.e it gives wrong CGPA)....because total number of credits varies for different semesters.since all are not equal,above method is not correct .....

correct way:
the correct way to calculate is as follows...

1)multiply your gpa of each semester with total number of credidts
2)repeat the same for all semesters
3)add all values obtained during multiplication (for each sem)-name it as a...
4)find sum of all credits of all semesters-name it as b
5)finally do a/b
6)you get your correct CGPA


this can be given in formula :
CGPA=  sum of(GPA of one sem*total no of credits )
                   sum of total no of credits of all semester
