Do you know the humidity in air can be used to charge your smartphone.?

Yes,the Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of technology have discovered that water droplets in air can generate small amount of electricity by converting surface energy to kinetic energy as they merge to form larger droplets causing the droplets to jump away thus generating small electric charge which can be used to charge the smartphone.

but how they are going to charge smartphone batteries directly & how they would they protect humans from electric charge.
