Event Description  : Adobe PhoneGap and MoSync are open source frameworks for building cross-platform mobile applications with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. This is an ideal solution for web developers interested in mobile development as it allows them to leverage existing skills rather than start from scratch with a device-specific compiled language. In this programme, the participant will learn how to set up the PhoneGap development environment and learn some of the fundamental development considerations of the platform. MoSync, another FOSS multi-platform mobile app development SDK tool, is based on standard web programming.
This workshop will help to get an awareness about web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, JQUERY and JQUERY MOBILE. By the end of the training, the participant will be able to use PhoneGap to create HTML5 apps with relatively complex user interfaces for mobile devices. Participants will know how to deploy, debug, and package these apps for iOS/Android devices and the App markets.
