WinRAR 5.0 Released With New RAR 5 File Compressing Format

RARLAB officially launched the next generation file compressing tool WinRAR 5.0 introducing a new file format RAR 5. WinRAR 5.0 is now in beta stage and you can Attachment both 32bit or 64bit version it from the link at the end.

Not only RARLAB launched WinRAR 5.0 but also providing much stronger file compression algorithm that comes with this new RAR 5 format. So now you can compress a file within three formats .RAR , .ZIP and the new format .RAR 5. Here I want to mention that if a file is compressed in .RAR 5 format then you can only be able to decompress it via WinRAR 5.0 not the older version or any third party software. If you try this you will get an error or corrupted file after decompressing.


But by default this new WinRAR 5.0 will compress your file within RAR format. If you want to compress it in RAR 5 then you have to choose it. So don't be afraid to use it. Make one thing clear that RAR 5 is a new format in file compressing world. So if you are sending a file by compressing then its better to compress in old RAR or ZIP format. Hope this new RAR 5 will be as useable as RAR or ZIP , but for that we have to wait.

Yep! New RAR 5 is working like charm!

but the disadvantage is RAR5 can decompress using WinRAR5 only you cant use 7zip or anyother compression tool.
