This autorun.inf file cannot be deleted by you or virus.
So it's protection is higher.
Step 1: Open the My Computer.
Step 2: Open the drive (Pen drive, External Hard drive, Memory Card) that you want to protect or prevent it from autorun.inf virus.

Step 3: Open the command prompt by right click on empty place while holding the shift key and choose Open Command Window here. For XP user: Open the command prompt manually.

Step 4: Type "md \\.\X:\autorun.inf\con" where X is your Drive letter in the command prompt. Then press Enter, new folder will be created on your drive.

Step 5: Now "autorun.inf" folder cannot able to delete by you or Virus. So now your Drive is completely protected from virus.
This also works for Pen drive, External Hard drive, Memory Card.
