Online Education - Does it really help?

In this era of Internet it is not really that wise to ignore the role of Online Education. It can be proven true through some scenarios I mention here.
It is always not possible to get physically to some place or to some teacher who would guide one learn some subject. And this limitation would often lead a student to opt for a subject which he/she is not at all willing to choose. Not going with a subject that one really loves, would not be fruitful in that way. Therefore Online Education, if considered as a way of Distant Learning, is of course of a very high value.

Self study is something everybody has to do at some point of time, especially in higher studies. This requires a good amount of quality resource available at your hand. No library can ever beat what internet can provide us in this context. Internet offers immense amount of information on whatever subject or thing one wishes to study. Well, it's again a trouble having a lot much of information as that may sometimes lead you to a situation where you don't know what to read and where from to read. Yet we can't ignore the help we get!
Basically, online education is really something very necessary in widening your knowledge base. But of course it is not suitable for the immature brains. A kid is not expected to learn basic mathematics by looking at the computer screen. He/she is better taught by someone physically present in front!! And again, one must be very specific about the objective or the goal he/she wishes to achieve by taking some online course or so. Otherwise a series of lectures or some big e-book or some website full of information can be too painful to go through. If not used in an intelligent way, this idea of online education can completely kill your interest and that is dangerous!
