The Cisco ATA 186 Analog Telephone Adaptor functions as an analog telephone adapter that interfaces regular analog telephones to IP-based telephony networks. The Cisco ATA converts any regular analog telephone into an Internet telephone. Each adapter supports two voice ports, each with its own telephone number

STEP 1 Reset your Factory Settings
Pick up the phone handset attached to the Phone Line 1 jack and press the illuminated red button.
Dial: 322873738#
then dial * (asterisk) and hang up.
NOTE: this will completely reset and erase any values that may already exist!
STEP 2 Find the IP Address
Pick up the phone handset and press the red button, then
Dial: 21# and you will hear the IP address of your device (e.g. 192.168.0.1).
You can also find the IP Address by logging into the Modem Router.
STEP 3
Go to any browser and enter the IP address:
http:///dev
(where is replaced by the address that was found in Step 2.
STEP 4
Modify the Settings and Parameters given to you by the SIP Providers.
STEP 5
Click on the "apply" button.
STEP 6
Thats It ! Now Make calls!
