It can be just EEE,ECE,CSE,IT,MECH,E&I,ICE,AUTO,CIVIL no need of BE EEE and etc if it takes more space...

I think its good to have a field to add dept in user profile to mention his/her dept. It will be very good if the dept is shown during his post to
